Mid Staffordshire Hospital

At the Oakridge Postgraduate Medical Centre, we equipped a versatile modern training facility, featuring a digital video recording system with source and control equipment mounted in mobile Academy cabinets. Pictures and sound from simulated resuscitation exercises in two separate areas can be recorded on to a hard disk recorder in the Academy rack cabinet.

For presentations, the Academy lectern unit can be positioned as required. Equipped with a Sympodium touch screen monitor, a 10.5” control screen and an Elmo Visualiser, the lectern also includes a built-in PC with Windows 7. Sound is recorded via four ceiling-mounted microphones and replayed through ‘invisible’ i-ceiling speakers, plus an induction loop audio system for hearing aid wearers.

Merseyside Probation Service

We equipped three presentation and training rooms at Merseyside Probation Service with integrated AV systems built around a bespoke suite of Academy cabinets. Six Academy units were supplied in two different configurations, for use individually or in pairs. This creates a flexible solution as cabinets are not actually joined, but they can be ‘parked’ together as the tops are curved to ‘dock’ in two out of the three rooms.

In addition to projectors, screens and audio equipment, the systems feature AMX Mio controllers, interfaced with SMART Podium widescreen interactive tablets and Elmo visualisers.
